Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ViShot Downloader / Video Downloader - Video Saver (the “App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use our Android application and website.

We designed the App to work as a video, music, and file downloading utility. We do not require users to create an account to use the App.

1. Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not ask you to provide your name, phone number, address, password, payment information, or account credentials in order to use the App.

Downloaded files are normally stored locally on your device. We do not operate a personal cloud storage service for your downloaded files.

2. Information processed by the App

Depending on the feature you use, the App may process:

  • URLs that you paste or open inside the App, so the App can detect downloadable media;
  • download metadata such as file name, file size, file type, progress, and status;
  • local media files that you choose to view, play, organize, delete, share, or protect inside the App;
  • technical information needed to run the App, such as device model, Android version, app version, network status, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data.

Some processing may happen on your device. In some versions or features, a backend service may be used to help detect media, process a link, improve reliability, prevent abuse, or troubleshoot errors. If backend processing is used, server logs may include technical data such as IP address, request time, user agent, requested URL, error information, and response status.

3. Advertising and third-party SDKs

The App is supported by advertising. We may use advertising networks, mediation platforms, and related SDKs, including Google AdMob, CAS.ai / Clever Ads Solutions, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, Unity Ads, Pangle, Mintegral, ironSource, and other mediation partners.

These partners may collect or process information such as Advertising ID, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions, ad views, ad clicks, diagnostics, and other data required to serve, measure, personalize, limit, and prevent fraud in advertising.

The exact advertising partners may change over time depending on our mediation configuration. Our authorized sellers file is available at /app-ads.txt.

4. Analytics, diagnostics, and crash reporting

We may use analytics, crash reporting, and performance tools to understand app stability, fix bugs, improve download success, and improve the user experience. These tools may process device information, app version, crash traces, diagnostic logs, feature usage events, and approximate location or network information.

5. Android permissions

The App may request permissions that are necessary for its features, such as internet access, notifications, media/file access, and storage-related access depending on your Android version. Permissions are used to provide features such as downloading, saving, playing, sharing, and managing files.

6. Private folder

The private folder feature is intended to help hide selected local files from casual access inside the App. It is not a cloud backup service and should not be treated as a replacement for full device encryption or professional security tools.

7. How we use information

We use information to provide app functionality, detect downloadable media, manage downloads, play files, maintain security, prevent abuse, show ads, measure ad performance, fix bugs, improve stability, and respond to support requests.

8. Sharing of information

We may share information with service providers and third-party SDK partners that help operate, monetize, analyze, and secure the App. These third parties process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect our users, our rights, and the integrity of the App.

9. Data retention

Local downloads remain on your device until you delete them. Technical logs, diagnostics, advertising data, and analytics data may be retained by us or third-party providers for the period necessary to provide services, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and improve the App.

10. Your choices

  • You can manage Android app permissions from your device settings.
  • You can reset or limit your advertising ID from Android privacy settings where available.
  • You can delete downloaded files from inside the App or from your device storage.
  • You can uninstall the App to stop further local app activity.

11. Children’s privacy

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address the issue.

12. Responsible use

You are responsible for using the App legally and respecting copyright, platform terms, and the rights of content owners. The App should only be used to download content that you own, have permission to save, or are legally allowed to download.

13. Links to third-party websites

The App and website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

15. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at kazmanereda@gmail.com.

Note: This policy is a practical improved draft for publishing. It should be reviewed against your exact SDK list, Play Console Data Safety answers, and local legal requirements before final use.
